Terms of Service
Last updated: May 1, 2026
These terms govern your use of the NoCorny Tracer macOS app and the companion web service at tracer.nocorny.com (together, the “Service”), operated by Maksym (NoCorny Agency, Ukraine). Please read them; using the Service means you accept them.
1. Acceptance
By installing the macOS app, signing in to the web service, or registering a video with us, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
2. The Service
NoCorny Tracer is a free, open-source macOS screen recorder paired with a web service that turns each recording into a shareable page at /v/{slug}. The macOS source code is published on GitHub and may be audited or forked under its repository LICENSE.
The Service is provided free of charge. We may change, pause, or shut down features at any time, although we’ll try to give reasonable notice for material changes that affect existing users.
3. Your account
You may create an account using Google OAuth. You’re responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. One account per person, please. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service or violate these Terms.
4. Your content
You own your recordings. The video and audio files live in your Dropbox account, not on our servers. By uploading a recording to your Dropbox and registering it with the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- store the video metadata and transcript in our database;
- serve the public share page at
/v/{slug}to viewers you share the link with; and - process the file with Google Gemini to generate a transcript, title, and description.
This license ends when you delete the video or your account (subject to the analytics retention described in the Privacy Policy, §3).
5. Public sharing
Pages at /v/{slug}are accessible to anyone who has the link. There is no password protection, no audience restriction, and no expiration. Treat the link as public. Don’t register recordings you don’t want anyone with a guess-resistant URL to potentially see.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to record, store, or share:
- content that’s illegal where you live or where the Service operates;
- content you don’t have the right to record or share (e.g. someone else’s screen, voice, or face without consent);
- malware, phishing pages, or anything intended to deceive;
- harassment, threats, or hate speech targeting individuals or groups;
- sexual content involving minors, or non-consensual intimate imagery of any kind;
- content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other third-party rights.
We may remove content and terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice depending on severity.
7. AI-generated content
Titles, descriptions, and transcripts are generated by Google Gemini. They may be inaccurate, biased, incomplete, or culturally tone-deaf. Don’t rely on them for anything that requires verified accuracy. You can edit the title and description on the video page; you can also disable transcripts by deleting the video.
8. Third-party services & dependencies
The Service depends on Dropbox (file storage and shared links), Google (OAuth and Gemini), Vercel (hosting), and Neon (database). Your use of those services is governed by their terms — we’re not responsible for their availability, outages, or how they handle data once it’s in their systems.
9. Open source
The macOS app source code is published on GitHub and licensed under the LICENSE file in that repository. Those terms govern your right to use, modify, and redistribute the source. The Terms on this page govern your use of the binary distribution and the web service.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind — no warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We don’t guarantee uptime, retention, or that the Service will be free from bugs, data loss, or interruptions. Back up anything you can’t afford to lose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NoCorny Agency and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, recordings, transcripts, or shared links, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our aggregate liability for any direct damages is limited to USD 50.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NoCorny Agency from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of content you record, store, or share through the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any third-party rights.
13. Termination
You can stop using the Service any time — disconnect Dropbox, sign out, and (if you’d like) email us to delete your account. We can suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, for legal reasons, or if we discontinue the Service. Your video files remain in your Dropbox after termination; we don’t touch them.
14. Changes to these Terms
We’ll bump the “last updated” date when we change these Terms. Material changes that expand obligations or reduce rights will be announced by email to signed-in users before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that can’t be resolved by good-faith email exchange goes to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kyiv, Ukraine.
