PRINCIPLES

  1. Zero video storage on this side.

    Metadata only: title, transcript, view count. A few kilobytes of text per recording is the whole row in the database.

  2. No watermarks, ever.

    Not on the free tier, not on any tier. Your recording is your recording, at any resolution, any length.

  3. Revoke at any time.

    Disconnect Dropbox and your videos stop being public the same minute. Reconnect and the links work again.

  4. Open source.

    Do not trust words, read the code. AGPL-3.0, built and maintained by NoCorny Agency, contributions welcome.

    Open the DMG

    Double-click the downloaded .dmg to mount it.

  2. STEP 02

    Drag to Applications

    Drag NoCorny Tracer.app into your Applications folder.

  3. STEP 03

    Launch and allow access

    macOS asks for screen and microphone permission once. Say yes, and the menu bar icon appears.

Recording, sharing and on-device transcription are free and stay free: no watermarks, no limits, no «starting at $0/month» trick. An optional paid tier covers the parts that cost money to run, cloud transcription and speaker separation, by invitation for now.
